Edit and produce high-quality video content for films, commercials, YouTube series, and digital platforms, while collaborating with creative teams to deliver impactful storytelling.

• Edit raw footage into polished final cuts for films, documentaries, ads, and YouTube content
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and content creators to align visual style and story
• Implement sound design, visual effects, graphics, and color correction
• Manage file organization, backup, and version control
• Cut trailers, teasers, and social media snippets
• Optimize videos for platforms including YouTube (SEO, aspect ratios, thumbnails)
• Maintain turnaround speed without compromising quality
• Work with content and marketing teams to repurpose edits for multi-platform use
• Contribute creative input during pre-production and storyboarding
• Stay updated on trends in visual storytelling, editing styles, and tools

• Minimum 4 years professional experience in video editing for film, media, or digital content production
• 4 years experience in motion graphics or animation
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro
• Strong sense of timing, pacing, visual storytelling, and audio integration
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with YouTube formats, export settings, and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Keen eye for detail and narrative flow
• Passion for African storytelling and youth-focused content
