Head of Maintenance

Bakangizo Pharmacy and Stores is looking for a skilled Head of Maintenance to oversee all maintenance operations across its facilities and assets. The role focuses on ensuring efficient performance of equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high operational standards across all branches.

• Oversee maintenance and servicing of company vehicles including vans, trucks, and buses
• Manage repairs and upkeep of generators, electrical systems, and store equipment
• Supervise maintenance of air conditioning systems and refrigeration units
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
• Ensure all equipment operates efficiently with minimal downtime
• Coordinate activities of in-house technicians and external service providers
• Monitor maintenance expenses and implement cost-control measures
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and inspections

• Relevant technical certification or degree is an advantage
• 7 to 10 years experience in maintenance management
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including diesel and petrol engines
• Practical experience with generators, electrical systems, AC units, and refrigeration
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
