Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fleet operations including dispatch, planning, and workshop management
- Maintain at least 90% fleet operational readiness and improve route efficiency
- Develop and implement contingency and business continuity plans
- Monitor and report key KPIs such as fleet utilization, cost efficiency, delivery performance, and productivity
- Implement and manage GPS/telematics systems for fleet monitoring
- Coordinate maintenance teams to reduce MTTR and ensure compliance with vehicle regulations
- Track and improve fleet profitability, revenue per truck, and cost per kilometer
- Lead, manage, and develop the transport team, including coaching and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with HSE and regulatory standards
- Drive business development strategies for B2B logistics expansion
- Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Develop pricing models, commercial proposals, and SLAs
- Collaborate with internal departments to strengthen competitive positioning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 8–10 years experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management with leadership exposure
- Strong knowledge of logistics systems, fleet operations, and supply chain processes
- Experience with GPS/telematics, ERP systems, and fleet monitoring tools
- Strong financial, budgeting, and cost control skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of lean processes and project management principles
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- High integrity and emotional intelligence
- Experience in international logistics is an added advantage
- Willingness to travel up to 60%
