Legal Associate

Resurgir Consulting is seeking a qualified Legal Associate to join its corporate and commercial law practice, focusing on advisory services, regulatory compliance, contract drafting, and transactional support for growth-oriented businesses and investors.

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and legal agreements
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and advisory memoranda
• Handle corporate filings with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and other regulatory bodies
• Support company secretarial, compliance, and corporate governance functions
• Participate in client meetings and prepare meeting briefs and minutes
• Assist with due diligence processes and transaction documentation
• Contribute to internal legal knowledge resources and documentation

• Must be called to the Nigerian Bar
• Minimum of 2 years post-call experience in corporate/commercial law practice
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, and research skills
• Interest in non-litigation, corporate advisory legal work
• High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in standard legal and business software tools
• Must reside in Calabar, Cross River State
