Cost Accountant

Wemy Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to manage and analyze production costs within its manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate costing, inventory control, and profitability optimization across product lines.

• Prepare and maintain standard cost sheets for products and raw materials
• Analyze production costs including materials, labour, packaging, and overheads
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs
• Identify cost-saving opportunities within manufacturing processes
• Monitor daily and monthly production costs and material usage
• Track wastage and consumption rates of raw materials
• Work closely with production and procurement teams for cost control
• Ensure proper allocation of factory overheads
• Maintain accurate records of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation
• Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory
• Ensure correct inventory valuation in line with accounting standards
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning processes
• Provide cost reports and profitability analysis for management
• Improve cost accounting systems and reporting processes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage
• 3–6 years experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG
• Experience with ERP and inventory management systems
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures and processes
