Professor (Computer Science)

West Midlands Open University is looking to engage a highly qualified Professor of Computer Science to drive academic excellence through teaching, research, and leadership within the institution.

• Deliver lectures and advanced academic instruction in Computer Science
• Conduct high-impact research and publish in reputable journals
• Supervise postgraduate students and mentor junior lecturers
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic strategy
• Participate in departmental and institutional administrative functions
• Collaborate with local and international academic bodies
• Provide leadership and guidance within the faculty

• Minimum of three years experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent
• Alternatively, at least six years experience as a Senior Lecturer for direct appointment
• Strong portfolio of scholarly publications with a minimum of 40 publication points
• Evidence of assessed publications by relevant academic authorities
• Positive evaluation from at least two out of three external assessors
• Demonstrated academic leadership, awards, and recognition
• Proven administrative and management experience
