Professor (Finance)

West Midlands Open University is seeking a seasoned academic professional to join its faculty as a Professor of Finance, contributing to research excellence, quality teaching, and institutional leadership.

• Deliver lectures and advanced instruction in Finance and related disciplines
• Conduct impactful research and publish in recognized academic journals
• Supervise postgraduate students and mentor junior academic staff
• Contribute to curriculum design and academic development initiatives
• Participate in administrative and institutional responsibilities
• Engage in national and international academic collaborations
• Provide strategic leadership within the department

• Minimum of three years experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent
• Alternatively, at least six years experience as a Senior Lecturer for direct appointment
• Strong record of scholarly publications with at least 40 publication points
• Evidence of reviewed and assessed academic publications
• Positive reports from at least two out of three external assessors
• Demonstrated leadership, awards, and academic recognition
• Proven administrative and managerial experience
