Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue high-value commercial opportunities in upstream and downstream operations
Negotiate and close strategic partnerships, supply contracts, and offtake agreements
Secure necessary government licenses and approvals
Develop and execute market strategies to expand business presence
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
Conduct financial modeling, feasibility analysis, and risk assessment for potential deals
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial agreements
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on market trends and opportunities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field (MBA is a plus)
5–8 years’ experience in commercial/business development in the oil & gas sector
Experience across both upstream and downstream operations is highly advantageous
Proven track record of closing high-value commercial deals
Strong understanding of licensing processes, crude/product pricing, supply chain, and regulatory frameworks
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving abilities
Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on, solution-oriented approach
