Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Teach undergraduate courses in Mass Communication and related areas
- Assist in course coordination and curriculum implementation in line with NUC BMAS
- Conduct research and publish in reputable academic journals
- Supervise undergraduate students’ projects (where applicable)
- Participate in continuous assessment, examinations, and grading
- Contribute to departmental meetings, committees, and academic activities
- Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and community service activities
- Perform any other academic duties as assigned by the Head of Department or University Management
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A Ph.D in Mass Communication or a closely related discipline from a recognized university
- Evidence of specialization in Journalism, Broadcasting, Public Relations, Advertising, Development Communication, or New Media Studies
- At least two (2) years of teaching or relevant professional experience in a tertiary institution or media organization
- A minimum of two (2) scholarly publications in reputable journals or conference proceedings

Ability to use ICT tools and e-learning platforms for teaching and assessment
