Accountant

A reputable company is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards and Nigerian tax regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three years accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks.

Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger

Prepare timely financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to management

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements

Manage and maintain the company’s QuickBooks accounting system including data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting

Prepare and submit financial reports to management and relevant stakeholders

Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes

Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments

Oversee inventory and stock management

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

Minimum of three years accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or agricultural sectors

Proficiency in accounting software with strong experience in data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting

Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

ACA, ACCA, or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage

Experience in financial planning and budgeting

Good knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations
