Head of Product Security

M-KOPA is seeking a Head of Product Security to lead Application Security and Threat Intelligence teams, develop comprehensive security strategies, and ensure secure product development at scale for a platform serving over 7 million customers across Africa.

Lead and scale Application Security and Threat Intelligence teams.

Mentor and develop security professionals.

Conduct offensive security tasks, including hardware hacking and Android exploitation.

Build and automate threat intelligence systems and security workflows.

Perform vulnerability research, penetration testing, and threat modeling.

Coordinate red team exercises and execute risk assessments.

Partner with product, engineering, and executive teams to embed security across the organization.

Translate security requirements into business value and growth opportunities.

Hands-on experience in product/application security, vulnerability research, penetration testing, and security architecture.

Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing security teams.

Expertise in threat intelligence programs, automation platforms (e.g., n8n), Android security, and hardware hacking.

Strong leadership, technical depth, and cross-functional influence.
