The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of electrical systems and machinery within the FMCG plant, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Install new machinery and electrical systems including wiring, switches, lighting, circuit breakers, and other components
Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve electrical issues
Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and analyze electrical problems
Ensure compliance with local and industry-specific electrical codes
Upgrade existing electrical systems for new technologies or higher power demands
Collaborate with mechanical technicians, engineers, safety managers, and vendors for system integration
Maintain accurate work records including installation plans, maintenance schedules, and repair logs
Handle electrical hazards safely using PPE and safety protocols
Stay updated with advancements in electrical technology and pursue relevant training or certifications
OND in a related field
Preventive maintenance skills on electrical switchgear units (PCC, MCC, Starters, etc.)
Knowledge of utility equipment (air compressors, boilers, diesel generators, water treatment)
Understanding of PLC architecture and programming; ability to work with ladder logic programs
Ability to set up and install VFDs
Ability to test, install, and maintain 1-phase and 3-phase electrical motors
Knowledge of ETP, boreholes, and lighting systems
Troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime
Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage
Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Good teamwork and communication skills
