The role involves managing and optimizing Sun King’s strategic expansion programs across Anglophone Africa, including Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda. The position requires program management expertise, team leadership, budget oversight, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver measurable impact.
Partner with Country Representatives to develop and execute operational plans aligned with strategic objectives
Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Mentor and empower Country Program Managers and Associates to build a high-performing team
Oversee project budgets and ensure financial compliance
Monitor program performance using data to guide decisions and report results
Build and maintain relationships with government officials, communities, partners, and stakeholders
Travel extensively across Africa (~50% of the time)
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field with 3+ years of program management experience
4–5 years in a management role
PMP/PgMP certification or equivalent project management credentials
Strong understanding of development sector challenges
Analytical skills and problem-solving capability
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills
Fluency in English; additional local language is a plus
Willingness to travel extensively
