Junior Legal Officer

This role supports the legal, regulatory, and business advisory functions of KOKO Internet Group, covering commercial law, compliance, intellectual property, media, tech, and company secretarial duties across Nigeria and international jurisdictions.

Draft and negotiate commercial, licensing, and media-related contracts

Advise on compliance and regulatory matters under Nigerian and international media and entertainment laws

Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements

Review and advise on advertising, marketing promotions, and related materials

Provide legal guidance on daily queries from clients, partners, and internal teams

Assist in handling customer complaints and external dispute matters

Assess legal and commercial risks and propose practical solutions

Contribute to business development initiatives and ad hoc projects

Support corporate, commercial, regulatory, and litigation activities, including both local and international matters

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Barrister at Law (BL); Master’s in Law (LLM) is an added advantage

Minimum of two years post-call experience, preferably with exposure to both law firm and in-house environments

Background in corporate commercial law, contract drafting, regulatory advisory, litigation, and company secretarial work

ICSAN membership or progress in the qualification is an advantage

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize appropriately

Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to present and defend legal positions clearly

Interest in media, tech, entertainment, and sports rights, and commitment to transparency and accountability
