The role involves overseeing all structural engineering activities for two major residential development projects—McPherson 1 and Maye. The ideal candidate will ensure structural integrity, compliance with standards, and smooth coordination across construction teams.
* Supervise structural works on-site for the McPherson 1 and Maye projects
* Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and details for compliance
* Provide technical direction during excavation, formwork, reinforcement, casting, and other structural installations
* Carry out regular site inspections to confirm workmanship and material quality
* Coordinate with architects, project managers, MEP teams, and subcontractors
* Resolve structural issues promptly to avoid delays
* Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, including challenges and recommendations
* Ensure compliance with Lagos State building codes and engineering standards
* Monitor contractors for adherence to safety and quality procedures
* Support project milestones from foundation through superstructure completion
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MSc is an added advantage)
* COREN certification required; NSE membership preferred
* Minimum of 7 years’ experience supervising structural works on medium to large building projects
* Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures and construction sequencing
* Proficient in reading structural and architectural drawings
* Strong reporting, communication, and coordination abilities
* Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple project locations and work on-site daily
