Accountant (FMCG)

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant with an FMCG/manufacturing background to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, statutory compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the general ledger and perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and cost analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, and NSITF.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
• Manage fixed assets, inventory records, and internal financial controls.
• Provide financial analysis and support strategic business decisions.

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA, or ICAN certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience, including 3 years in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Sage, Odoo, or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Good understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
