Kitchen Assistant

A restaurant in Lekki is seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations. The role involves food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals and excellent customer dining experiences.

• Assist in preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards
• Prepare ingredients including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning
• Ensure timely preparation and serving of food
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas
• Follow strict food safety and sanitation regulations
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages
• Store food properly and minimize wastage
• Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations after use
• Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations and events
• Contribute ideas for menu improvements when needed 

• Minimum of National Diploma (ND) in Hospitality, Catering, Food Science, or related field
• 1–2 years’ experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment
• Good understanding of food preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Culinary certification is an added advantage
