Medical Laboratory Scientist

Shalina Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to ensure accurate and efficient handling of laboratory specimens while maintaining high standards of quality and patient care. The role focuses on microbiological testing, analysis, and compliance with laboratory best practices.

• Perform microbiological tests including culture, sensitivity, and pathogen identification
• Analyze specimens such as blood, urine, tissue, and other body fluids
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, quality assurance, and safety standards
• Record, interpret, and communicate test results accurately
• Participate in continuous education and training programs
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
• Valid license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
• Minimum of 3–5 years post-NYSC experience, especially in Microbiology
• Good knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
