IT Project Manager

DelonApps is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and execute IT projects for a leading insurance company in Lagos. The role involves planning, organizing, and implementing projects while acting as a liaison between the business, internal teams, and external vendors.

Gather and validate business requirements and ensure stakeholder agreement before project initiation

Oversee requirement quality including completeness, correctness, and testability

Support Business Analysts in translating requirements into actionable specifications

Lead IT project execution, including documentation, planning, and reporting

Work with the CTO to prioritize projects and manage delivery timelines

Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and provide regular project status updates

Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery

Create and maintain business process models and documentation (As-is/To-be)

Monitor process performance and report improvements

Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support change management activities

Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the organization

Manage project scope, objectives, risks, and roadblocks using appropriate tools

Maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders, internal and external

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT field

Minimum of 7–8 years experience in IT Project Management

Certified Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification preferred

Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban

Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana

Hands-on experience in customer-focused product development, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
