Others is seeking an Inland Product Owner to bridge Area Sales and Operations, driving profitable inland volume growth and optimizing the inland product portfolio in line with regional targets.
Develop Area Inland strategy and define inland ambitions (volume, profitability, share)
Identify and develop inland products, including premium services, in collaboration with Sales and Operations
Gather market feedback and incorporate transport product needs
Provide product information and support to Account Managers
Set priorities and commercial ambitions for Procurement; support SLA definitions
Define inland network strategy, analyze locations, capacity, and equipment levels
Manage capacity demand forecasting and utilization
Plan and manage strategic vendor relationships, including negotiations and expansion
Analyze fixed capacity requirements using operational and commercial data
Support procurement in vendor identification and contracting
Minimum 5 years’ experience in shipping/container steering
French language skills are a plus
Background in trucking/forwarding industry preferred
Experience in trucking operations and product development for trucking corridors
Knowledge of inland transport and ocean shipping markets
Experience working in Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, and Angola is an advantage
Strong strategic, analytical, and customer-centric skills
Assertive negotiator, team player, able to work under pressure
Strong written English; French is an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft applications; knowledge of port-based systems (Navis, ICUMS)
Degree or commercial training in Business, Sales, Logistics, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
