Job Summary

BIC is recruiting a strategic and performance-driven Head of Sales / Sales Director to lead nationwide business development, strengthen market penetration, and drive revenue growth across Nigeria. The ideal candidate must have strong FMCG expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to develop and execute high-impact commercial strategies.









Key Responsibilities

Oversee and guide the national sales team to improve customer acquisition, market share, and distribution reach


Build, mentor, and develop a pipeline of high-potential sales professionals


Analyze the Nigerian market to identify expansion opportunities, trends, and competitive insights


Achieve national sales and revenue targets through strategic account development and effective sales execution


Strengthen partnerships with distributors and explore new channels, products, and territories


Maintain excellence in sales operations across categories, regions, customers, and channels


Provide periodic reports and forecasts to the General Manager on key performance indicators and business metrics


Ensure proper sales order generation, cash collection, and alignment with financial and supply chain teams


Manage customer databases for traditional trade, modern trade, and corporate buyers


Ensure compliance with pricing and distribution policies in all markets


Conduct regular field visits to gather market intelligence across BIC product lines


Drive business development through distributor engagement, training, product knowledge sharing, and customer follow-up


Lead relationships with key accounts while supporting marketing plan implementation


Review and manage Joint Business Plans (JBP) with customers


Support anti-counterfeiting efforts and oversee in-market sales (IMS) analysis


Required Qualifications

Strong background in sales and business development within the FMCG industry


High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint


Proven ability to scale distribution networks and grow market share


Strong negotiation, communication, and commercial leadership skills


Experience managing nationwide sales teams and driving performance


Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and motivate others


Solid understanding of commercial metrics, distribution expansion, and strategic planning
