Job Summary

This role supports the bank’s risk oversight function by identifying, evaluating, and monitoring risks across operational units. The position ensures compliance with regulatory expectations, enhances internal controls, and strengthens the bank’s enterprise risk management framework.




Key Responsibilities


* Evaluate core risk exposures across departments and recommend suitable mitigation measures.

* Monitor risk levels to maintain alignment with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

* Prepare and analyze risk dashboards and reports for senior management and Internal Control.

* Track compliance issues and audit findings to ensure prompt resolution.

* Review customer complaints from the bank’s toll-free line and escalate findings where required.

* Conduct daily transaction reviews, exception checks, and field-related operational assessments.

* Perform transaction call-over, quality control checks, and review loan officer activities.

* Support updates and improvements to the enterprise risk management framework.

* Participate in periodic risk assessments, stress testing, and internal audit activities.

* Carry out additional risk-related tasks assigned by the Unit Head.

Required Qualifications

*Requirements:*


* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

* 1–3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or internal control within microfinance or retail banking.

* Familiarity with risk frameworks such as the Risk Management Graduation Model (RMGM).

* Good knowledge of CBN and NDIC guidelines.

* Skilled in risk reporting, issue tracking, and operational control monitoring.

* Strong communication ability and report-writing skills.

* Analytical mindset, ethical judgment, and strong attention to detail.

* Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage
