Job Summary

The Patient Care Assistant provides nursing support to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position plays a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting overall patient care operations within the Heart Failure Unit (N2S Med Tele).

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
  • Perform light housekeeping and ensure patient rooms, hallways, and storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Support clinical care tasks that do not require a nursing license.
  • Respond promptly to patient call lights and assist with phone operations and visitor orientation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and document all patient interactions.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses to review and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient flow by tracking admissions, discharges, and room availability.
  • Clean and restock patient rooms after discharge, ensuring proper disposal and sterilization of items.
  • Follow all patient safety procedures and hospital protocols.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and excellent communication in all duties.





Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Direct patient care experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • BLS Certification (required).
  • Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification (required if assigned to the Transitional Sub-Acute Unit).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and teamwork in a clinical environment.

Work Schedule

* 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Day Shift)
* Includes weekend and holiday rotations.
