Job Summary



Global Rights, with support from the European Union, seeks a consultant to conduct an end-of-project evaluation of its initiative to strengthen Nigeria’s civic space. The project focused on improving the operational and regulatory environment for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) through multi-stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and strategic partnerships at the subnational level.




Key Responsibilities


* Assess the effectiveness of the project in achieving its goals and objectives.

* Evaluate the efficiency, sustainability, and impact of strategies, interventions, and partnerships.

* Examine outcomes related to institutional capacity building, policy influence, and beneficiary impact.

* Document lessons learned, good practices, and challenges to inform future projects.

* Provide evidence-based recommendations for sustaining results beyond project completion.

* Conduct evaluations of multi-stakeholder platforms and legislative engagement strategies.

* Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from target states, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.

* Engage with CSOs, legislators, regulators, and community leaders to gather insights.

* Produce a comprehensive evaluation report, executive summary, and PowerPoint presentation.

* Present findings to project stakeholders during a review meeting and facilitate discussion for validation.


Required Qualifications


* Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in social sciences, development studies, law, or a related field.

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in research, project evaluation, or assessment.

* Proven expertise in civic space, governance, or CSO regulatory frameworks.

* Strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills.

* Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.

* Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and data protection.
