Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Sales Associate who will support the SME Sales team to acquire, grow, and manage business relationships across key sectors such as hospitality, restaurants, and retail. This role focuses on driving client acquisition and revenue growth through proactive marketing, effective relationship management, and the delivery of tailored financial solutions that address clients’ evolving business needs. 

The Sales Associate will also help maintain portfolio quality, ensure a seamless client onboarding experience, and provide exceptional service that enhances customer satisfaction and fosters long-term loyalty. Success in this position requires a results-driven professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of SME banking products, and the ability to execute sales strategies with discipline, efficiency, and professionalism in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Associate would have this key responsibilities

• Implement sales initiatives to acquire and grow relationships across key sectors such as hospitality, restaurants, and retail.

• Drive revenue generation through lead conversion, cross-selling, and promotion of tailored financial products.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets, contributing to branch and regional sales targets.

• Support the execution of sales campaigns and provide regular updates on lead generation, conversions, and client engagement activities.

• Manage end-to-end client interactions from prospecting and onboarding to servicing and retention.

• Deliver customized business solutions that address the needs of SME clients and align with their business goals.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent follow-up and proactive engagement.

• Ensure accurate and timely handling of client information, documentation, and credit requirements.

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging SME segments to identify new sales opportunities.

• Provide market feedback and client insights to inform product development and enhance service delivery.

• Participate in marketing and community engagement initiatives to strengthen brand visibility and generate quality leads.

• Adhere to all internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and credit standards in client acquisition and servicing.

• Maintain accurate records and leverage CRM tools for pipeline tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring.

• Collaborate with Operations and Credit teams to ensure smooth transaction processing and timely issue resolution.

• Uphold high ethical standards and represent the organizationsvalues in every client interaction.

• Provide regular updates to the Sales Manager on performance, challenges, and market insights.

• Contribute to team meetings, share best practices, and support the collective achievement of sales objectives

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required. 

• Relevant certifications in sales, marketing, or financial services are an added advantage.

• 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management within the banking or financial services industry — preferably with exposure to SME or retail clients.

• Proven ability to acquire and manage client relationships, achieve sales and revenue targets, and support the delivery of tailored financial solutions.

• Solid understanding of SME banking products, credit processes, and customer engagement best practices.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities, with a proactive, customer-centric approach.

• Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office applications, and digital sales or marketing platforms.
