Job Summary



Fortrea is seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Accounts to develop and execute global account strategies within targeted alliance, strategic, and key accounts. The role involves building high-level client relationships, driving business growth, and leading multi-unit projects. Candidates should have 8–12 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech services with executive-level client interaction.






Key Responsibilities


Develop and execute global account strategies with alliance, strategic, and key accounts.


Achieve account portfolio financial and relationship-building goals.


Grow market share of existing business unit service lines and optimize new service line launches.


Build high-level relationships with functional client decision-makers.


Represent multiple BU service lines to client base and provide intelligence on competitors.


Serve as principal account interface and commercial negotiator for all BU sites.


Collaborate with sales staff across Fortrea units to identify multi-unit opportunities.


Develop long-term account plans and lead negotiations on MSAs and preferred provider agreements.


Use Salesforce.com to manage account plans, client information, and internal communication.


Assist with margin, pricing, and proposal scope development.


Maintain frequent personal contact with clients and participate in corporate teams to strengthen key account relationships.


Lead client presentations and ensure high-quality delivery of services.



Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business (preferred).


8–12 years of sales or relevant experience selling services to pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.


Demonstrated leadership and client retention skills.


Experience developing and executing strategic business plans.


Strong negotiation and consultative skills with senior executives.


Knowledge of the drug development process and strategic account management.


Extensive global collaboration experience.


Strong financial acumen including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.


English proficiency, both oral and written.


Flexibility to travel up to 50% and participate in meetings across time zones.
