The Startup Place Limited seeks a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to manage all financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support business growth through accurate reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
Maintain accurate financial records of all company transactions.
Record, reconcile, and report daily financial activities using QuickBooks and Google Sheets.
Track and manage accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
Prepare and analyze departmental and project budgets.
Generate monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
Ensure all statutory remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension) are made promptly.
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
Verify supplier invoices, project expenses, and petty cash before approval.
Establish financial controls to prevent fraud and ensure transparency.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in accounting (preferably in construction or real estate).
Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, and Google Sheets.
Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and reporting standards.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
High integrity and attention to detail.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
