Job Summary



Barry Callebaut is seeking a dedicated Customer Quality & Quality in Design (QID) Lead to champion quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement at our St. Albans facility. The role ensures that quality standards are integrated into product design and that customer feedback and complaints are addressed efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong food safety knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience in quality management and product commercialization.




Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze customer feedback, complaints, and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement


Collaborate with production, engineering, and customer service teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions


Ensure Barry Callebaut quality standards are integrated into product design and development processes


Participate in new product introductions and product transfer projects to assess and mitigate quality risks


Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action initiatives


Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and customer focus through training and awareness


Conduct regular reviews of customer quality performance and present findings to management


Lead quality improvement projects and act as liaison between factory and regional customer quality teams


Support and participate in customer audits and compliance reviews


Ensure all customer requirements are communicated and met at the factory level


Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Industrial/Business Engineering, or Food Science (or equivalent)


Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality, CI&TS, operations, or engineering


Experience handling customer complaints, documentation, and support requests


Strong background in food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, BRC, or FSSC22000)


Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Management of Change processes


Experience in product commercialization and continuous improvement


ASQ certification is an advantage


Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills


Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and work flexible hours in a 24/7 facility environment
