Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)

A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated and competent Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) to join its surgical healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care, support clinical procedures, and contribute to the efficient operation of the facility while maintaining high standards of patient safety and infection control.

• Provide basic patient care and support daily clinical operations.
• Monitor patients and promptly report changes in their condition.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Support healthcare professionals during clinical procedures as required.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
• Promote a safe, clean, and patient-centered healthcare environment.
• Assist in other clinical duties assigned by the healthcare team.

• Valid Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) certification and current practicing license.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant clinical experience.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience in a surgical setting is an added advantage.
