Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Spring)

Medicare Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Spring) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems that power its digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java and the Spring Framework, a passion for building reliable applications, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced engineering environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and the Spring Framework.
• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services to support business applications.
• Design and optimize system architecture for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while ensuring system stability.
• Optimize application performance, database interactions, and backend processes.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decision-making.
• Implement automated testing, monitoring, and continuous integration/deployment practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Stay current with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Minimum of 5–8 years' hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Framework.
• Strong passion for building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and enterprise-level applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
