Shift-in-Charge, Mechanical Maintenance

African Industries Group (AIG) is seeking a qualified and experienced Shift-in-Charge, Mechanical Maintenance professional to oversee mechanical operations and ensure optimal equipment performance in its mining facility. The role involves supervising maintenance activities, diagnosing mechanical faults, and ensuring compliance with safety standards to achieve efficient production targets.

• Install, test, and commission mechanical machinery and systems.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair faulty components and systems.
• Monitor the performance of machines and ensure adherence to operational standards.
• Collect and analyze equipment data to improve reliability and performance.
• Develop and train team members to enhance technical competence.
• Maintain strict compliance with company HSE policies and ensure a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with other departments to achieve smooth and continuous plant operations.

• HND or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Trade Test I, II, and III certifications.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Cement, Metal, Process, or Oil industries.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance procedures and plant machinery.
• Excellent leadership, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and preventive maintenance culture.
