A reputable organization in the Oil and Gas industry is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to oversee the sourcing and acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. The successful candidate will ensure efficient, cost-effective procurement processes while maintaining compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Identify, assess, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
Prepare purchase requests, orders, and contractual documents
Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contractual terms
Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
Track supplier performance and address procurement challenges
Maintain proper documentation and accurate procurement records
Liaise with operations, finance, and warehouse departments
Carry out market analysis to uncover cost-saving opportunities
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 2 to 5 years procurement experience, preferably within the Oil and Gas sector
Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities
Sound knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement tools
Excellent communication and organizational skills
High level of integrity and keen attention to detail
Added Advantage:
Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or related qualification
Experience handling oilfield equipment and technical procurement
