Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records for property sales, rentals, and development projects
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Track income, expenses, and profitability per property/project
- Reconcile bank statements, client accounts, and escrow records
Property & Project Accounting
- Monitor project budgets, construction costs, and payment schedules
- Track installment payments from clients and follow up on outstanding balances
- Manage service charge and maintenance accounts (where applicable)
- Calculate commissions for sales teams and external agents
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process invoices, vendor payments, and staff reimbursements
- Issue receipts and invoices to clients
- Maintain aging reports for receivables and ensure timely collections
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
- Support tax filings (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and liaise with auditors
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
Cash Flow & Forecasting
- Monitor daily cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Advise management on cost control and financial efficiency
Required Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3–5 years accounting experience (real estate or construction preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Good understanding of Nigerian tax and financial regulations
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
